Tommy DeFoe

    Coach DeFoe is a 1997 graduate of Heritage High School in Maryville, TN,  He was a team captain and three-year letterman for the Mountaineers, where he was named All-Blount County, 1st Team All Big-East Conference, 1st All-East Tennessee, and Honorable Mention All-State.  Coach Defoe was also chosen to start at guard for the Tennessee team in the Tennessee vs. Kentucky All-Star Game.  He received a full scholarship to play football for the Division I North Carolina State Wolf Pack in 1997.  He ten transferred to Carson Newman College in 1999.  He was a member of the 1999 SAC Championship and Runner-Up National Champion Eagle Team.  He graduated from Carson- Newman with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies.

               

Coach DeFoe is a teacher at Union County High School and resides in Maynardville.  He is married to long time Union County resident Jennifer Wallace Defoe.  She is a School Counselor/Career Counselor at Union County High School.
