Union County High School
Internet Lesson Plans for Career and College Planning
Sophomore Internet Lesson Plan
Internet lesson plans developed to use with high school students for college and career planning.
| These
lesson plans are part of our developmental guidance model. They are
used with freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors as an integral part of
our Career Center curriculum and during individual meetings between
students and counselors. Union County high school students are
encouraged to see their counselors as often as needed during the career
and college planning process. Every effort has been made to provide
students, as well as parents, with a comprehensive post high school
planning guide. It is our hope that you will find these plans
helpful during this process.
Plans for the years beyond high school vary with each individual. For some students, these plans involve college; for still others, they involve vocational training, work or the Armed Services. The role of the Career Center is to organize the process by which a student plans for the appropriate steps beyond high school, to provide information and appropriate referrals, and to supply support for the student in making these plans for the future. It is the responsibility of the student, along with the family to take the initiative, to begin the process in a timely manner. It is important for the student to observe all testing and application deadlines and to see that the many steps involved are carried out in such a way as to assure proper consideration of credentials. In addition it is suggested that the student visit the guidance office, at least weekly to obtain updated information. |
