Secondary 9-12

Graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, MA + 45 Union College.  Mrs. McKelvey began her career as a teacher at Horace Maynard High School 1951; six years later she began her career as Supervisor of Instruction with 27 schools serving all the students in Union County. 

As new and additional programs came to Union County she served in a leadership role. She has seen many changes and has seen the consolidation of schools to four elementary schools, one middle school, Union County High School and Adult High School. 

She is a member of the Tennessee Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, Southern Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, Southern Association Committee for Accreditation, Delta Kappa Gamma, member of Miller’s Chapel United Methodist Church, outstanding award for thirty years of continuous service in the Title I Program and member of First Families of Tennessee, Tennessee Education Association, National Education Association, East Tennessee Education Association, Union County Education Association.
